HOME RENOVATIONS COLORADO
Whether you’re rockin' a Pinterest board, or have zero idea how to start, consider these trends and tips for your home renovation
How does a homeowner start a home renovation?
The first thing they would need to do is decide if they're going to do try the DIY route and do the home renovations themselves or are they going to hire a professional to do it for them.
What home renovations get the most bang for the buck?
Kitchens and master bedrooms and bathrooms are the home renovations we see that get the best bang for your buck or return on investment. If you’re selling your home in the future, these are the renovations that help sell a home.
Also, think about it. It’s the biggest return on investment even if you aren’t selling your home – these are the two rooms you spend the MOST time in. Why not have them be your dream kitchen or dream master bath?
What are some of the top reasons people are renovating their homes?
Everybody hangs out in the kitchen. People want more space in the kitchen or updated amenities. They want more openness and we’re often taking out walls or partial walls. They want to entertain in the kitchen. Or they want a more functional space or cabinets. Cabinetry has come so far in the last decade that what’s available now is mind blowing. And people are seeing the options everywhere from HGTV shows, IKEA showrooms, and social media and their neighbors. They want recycle bins, wine fridges, multiple stoves, indoor grills, smart-home technology, the works. It’s really an exciting time for kitchen upgrades.

How much do home renovations cost and does it change as you go?
Everybody wants to know how much a home renovation is going to cost. It's a real hard question to answer because everybody's taste is different and it depends on do you want to buy a Cadillac or do you want a Ferrari or do you want a Volkswagen? They are, so many different levels of finish, so many accessories you can have in the cabinets and so many different prices of countertops and appliances and even hardware – that there is cookie cutter cost. What I can tell you is that we’ve been doing home renovations for more than 20 years and we know about all the products and options out there, so bring us your ideas and your budget and we’ll help you match them up. What we can guarantee you is that, we immediately talk with clients about any changes in cost and don't move forward without approval from the client on any changes to the plan.
Can you help homeowners keep the dream without blowing the budget?
Absolutely. There are places in all renovations where you can cut a little time or money. There are a lot of little invisible things. You can spend more on your counter top and spend less on the accessories that are on the inside of your cabinets. We're also shopping different products, brands, materials, and manufacturers all the time and can help you find things that match your dream look thatr maybe more affordable then something you initially found online or Pinterest. That's one of the things we love most about working with homeowners, is helping them get more dream or wow, by showing them options they may not have known existed.
Does a homeowner need to know what they want before they contact you for a home renovation?
Sometimes people know exactly what they want and we're just an order taker. But usually that's not the case. Usually homeowners are looking for us to inspire them and bring them trends and ideas. Sometimes they have their colors or their appliances picked out or some ideas but they don't know how to put it all together or where to start. And then there's times where people contact us right from the beginning. The only thing they know is that they want a new kitchen or a new bathroom or a new outdoor living space and they’re looking for us to guide them through the entire process. So whatever stage you’re at with planning your home renovation, we think it’d be awesome to be a part of it.
